As we continue to mourn the loss of the 11 lives that were taken in the Pittsburgh shooting, we have found comfort in coming together as a community. The 11 victims were leaders of their community. They were at the Tree of Life synagogue at the beginning of services, as they always were, to greet their community, to make sure there was a minyan, and to offer a smile to all who entered the building. Keeping their memory alive is important, but equally important is to continue to live and carry on the traditions that they held so dear.
To help keep the memory of the 11 victims of the senseless shooting in Pittsburgh alive, SOJC is planting 11 plants with a plaque listing all 11 victims. We ask you to donate $11 (or increments of 11) for 11 days to help us complete this effort – running from November 4 – 15.
